Artworks Around the Hospitals

Date: 2016
Medium: Monoprint on wood
Artist: Kng Mian Tze

A series of vibrant monoprints created by 20 JurongHealth nurses together with artist Kng Mian Tze. Using flowers as a metaphor of seemingly trivial things that invoke fond memories of people and occasions, staff contributed to the artwork by choosing a flower that bears great significance to them and recreating an image of it through monoprinting. The prints were later transferred to lenticular format and circular format. This series brings together the honest and beautiful stories behind the flowers and transform them into artworks displayed in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital for all to enjoy.
